Day by Day Itinerary
Visit the legendary UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Drive through the Skoura palm grove and Valley of Roses along the "Road of One Thousand Kasbahs." Explore the dramatic Dades gorges. Overnight in Boumalne Dades.
Tinghir oasis. Todra Gorges walk (300m high walls). Continue to Merzouga. Sunset camel trek into Erg Chebbi. Berber dinner, Gnawa music, overnight in luxury desert camp.
Dawn Sahara sunrise. Full day: 4×4 to flamingo lake and nomadic families, sandboarding, Khamlia Gnawa village, optional quad. Second magnificent night in the desert camp.
Second Sahara sunrise. Visit Rissani souk (Alaouite dynasty birthplace). Drive north through the spectacular Ziz Valley, Midelt, Azrou cedar forest (Barbary macaques), and Ifrane ("Switzerland of Morocco"). Arrive in Fes by evening. Overnight in Fes.
Full guided tour of the legendary Fes el-Bali medina — UNESCO World Heritage Site and world's largest car-free urban area. Visit the 11th-century Chouara tanneries, Al-Attarine madrasa (stunning Zellige tilework), Bou Inania madrasa, Kairaouine mosque (world's oldest university, 859 AD), and the vibrant artisan souks. Evening at leisure in the medina. Overnight in Fes.
Visit the UNESCO Roman ruins of Volubilis — stunning 2nd-century mosaics, triumphal arch, and basilica. Explore imperial Meknes (Bab Mansour gate, Moulay Ismail mausoleum). Drive north into the Rif Mountains to the magical Blue City of Chefchaouen. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Morning in the blue alleys of Chefchaouen. Drive south through Rabat (Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V) and Casablanca (Hassan II Mosque exterior). Continue to Marrakech. Evening at the legendary Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight in Marrakech.
Full guided tour of Marrakech: Koutoubia Mosque gardens, ornate Bahia Palace (19th century, 150 rooms), Saadian Tombs (16th century royal necropolis), Jardin Majorelle (Yves Saint Laurent cobalt blue garden), Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the labyrinthine souks. Evening again at Jemaa el-Fna. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day trip to the stunning coastal city of Essaouira — UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the 18th-century sea ramparts with their cannon batteries, the vibrant blue fishing port, the art galleries, the wind-swept Atlantic beach, and the medina souks. Fresh seafood lunch. Return to Marrakech for final overnight.
Final day crossing the spectacular High Atlas mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass — panoramic stops over the Atlas peaks and Berber kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate by early afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or Ouarzazate airport. Tour ends — we hope to see you again!
