Day by Day Itinerary
Depart Marrakech over the High Atlas mountains crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass. Stop at the UNESCO Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou — the famous filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate for lunch. Drive through the Rose Valley to Boumalne Dades for overnight.
Drive through the magnificent Dades gorges then on to the towering Todra gorges with 300-meter high cliffs. Afternoon arrival in Merzouga. Mount camels for a sunset trek into Erg Chebbi dunes. Berber music and traditional dinner around the campfire. Overnight under the stars.
Sahara sunrise. After breakfast drive north through Rissani souk, along the Ziz Valley, and through the Middle Atlas mountains passing Midelt and the charming town of Ifrane. Arrive in Fes by evening. Drop off at your accommodation.
