Drive north to Rabat — the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah des Oudaias. Continue to Meknes — the monumental Bab Mansour gate and the Moulay Ismail mausoleum. Overnight in Meknes.
Morning visit to the UNESCO Roman ruins of Volubilis — the best-preserved Roman archaeological site in Morocco. Drive north into the Rif Mountains to the Blue City of Chefchaouen. Afternoon exploring the blue-painted medina and the Spanish mosque viewpoint. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Morning free in Chefchaouen. Drive east to Fes, arriving by early afternoon. Evening at leisure — optional walk to the Bab Bou Jeloud blue gate. Overnight in Fes.
Early departure from Fes. Drive south through the alpine town of Ifrane and the Azrou cedar forest, home to Barbary macaques. Lunch in Midelt, then through the Ziz Gorges and Ziz Valley palm groves to Merzouga. Sunset camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, Berber dinner and music, overnight in a traditional desert camp.
Dawn Sahara sunrise over the dunes. Full day exploring Erg Chebbi: a 4×4 excursion to the flamingo lake and nomadic Berber families, sandboarding down the dunes, and a stop in Khamlia village for live Gnawa music. Second night in the desert camp under the stars.
Morning stop in Rissani, birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. Drive through the dramatic Todra Gorges, with cliffs rising 300m above the valley floor. Continue along the Dades Valley — the 'Road of a Thousand Kasbahs' — to Ouarzazate, Morocco's film-studio capital. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, immortalized in countless films. Cross the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2,260m), with panoramic stops over Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon — evening at the legendary Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight in Marrakech.
Full guided tour of Marrakech: the Koutoubia Mosque gardens, the ornate 19th-century Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the cobalt-blue Jardin Majorelle, and the labyrinthine souks. Evening again at Jemaa el-Fna. Overnight in Marrakech.
Free morning in Marrakech for last-minute shopping in the souks. Drive north to Casablanca (~3h via motorway). Arrive by early afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport. Tour ends.
