Day by Day Itinerary
Full day guided tour of Marrakech: the Koutoubia Mosque gardens, the ornate 19th-century Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the labyrinthine souks of the medina. Evening at the legendary Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight in Marrakech.
Morning visit to the cobalt-blue Jardin Majorelle and the Berber Museum. Afternoon free for shopping in the souks or relaxing at your riad. Optional hammam and spa treatments available. Overnight in Marrakech.
Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Visit the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, then continue to Ouarzazate, Morocco's film-studio capital. Onward along the Dades Valley — the 'Road of a Thousand Kasbahs'. Overnight in Dades.
Morning walk through the dramatic Todra Gorges. Drive on to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Sunset camel trek into the desert, traditional Berber dinner and music, overnight in a desert camp under the stars.
Dawn Sahara sunrise over the dunes. Full day exploring Erg Chebbi: a 4×4 excursion to the flamingo lake and nomadic Berber families, sandboarding down the dunes, and a stop in Khamlia village for live Gnawa music. Second night in the desert camp under the stars.
Morning stop in Rissani. Drive south to Zagora, once the starting point of the trans-Saharan caravan routes, then along the palm-lined Draa Valley. Overnight in Zagora.
Morning at leisure in Zagora. Drive north to Ouarzazate, Morocco's film-studio capital, with stops at scenic kasbahs along the way. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Full day's drive from Ouarzazate to the Atlantic coast, crossing the High Atlas. Arrive in Casablanca by evening. Overnight in Casablanca.
Visit the Hassan II Mosque before driving north to Rabat — the Hassan Tower and Kasbah des Oudaias. Continue to Meknes for a stop at Bab Mansour, then on to Fes. Overnight in Fes.
Full day guided tour of the Fes el-Bali medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest car-free urban area. Visit the 11th-century Chouara tanneries, the Al-Attarine and Bou Inania madrasas, and the Kairaouine mosque, founded in 859 AD. Evening at leisure in the medina. Overnight in Fes.
Morning departure from Fes. Drive north into the Rif Mountains to the magical Blue City of Chefchaouen. Afternoon exploring the famous blue-washed alleys and the central Uta el-Hammam plaza. Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Long drive south along the Atlantic coast, with stops in Rabat (Hassan Tower, Kasbah des Oudaias) and Casablanca (Hassan II Mosque photo stop). Continue to Marrakech, arriving by evening. Overnight in Marrakech.
Morning departure from Marrakech across the Western High Atlas to the Atlantic coast. Afternoon at leisure in Agadir — the marina, the long sandy beach, and the Kasbah viewpoint over the bay. Overnight in Agadir.
Free morning in Agadir. Drive back across the Western High Atlas to Marrakech. Drop-off at your hotel or Marrakech Menara Airport. Tour ends.
