Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1
Marrakech City Tour — Medina, Palaces & Souks

Full day guided tour of Marrakech: the Koutoubia Mosque gardens, the ornate 19th-century Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the labyrinthine souks of the medina. Evening at the legendary Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 1 — Marrakech City Tour — Medina, Palaces & Souks

Marrakech → Ourika Valley & Atlas Mountains Day Trip

Day trip into the High Atlas foothills along the Ourika Valley. Visit Berber villages, walk to a seasonal waterfall, and enjoy mint tea with a local family. Return to Marrakech by evening. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 2 — Marrakech → Ourika Valley & Atlas Mountains Day Trip

Marrakech → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley

Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Visit the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, then continue to Ouarzazate, Morocco's film-studio capital. Onward along the Dades Valley — the 'Road of a Thousand Kasbahs'. Overnight in Dades.

Day 3 — Marrakech → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
Day 4
Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga → Camel Trek & Desert Camp

Morning walk through the dramatic Todra Gorges. Drive on to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Sunset camel trek into the desert, traditional Berber dinner and music, overnight in a desert camp under the stars.

Day 4 — Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga → Camel Trek & Desert Camp

Sahara Sunrise → Full Day Merzouga — 4×4, Sandboarding, Khamlia

Dawn Sahara sunrise over the dunes. Full day exploring Erg Chebbi: a 4×4 excursion to the flamingo lake and nomadic Berber families, sandboarding down the dunes, and a stop in Khamlia village for live Gnawa music. Second night in the desert camp under the stars.

Day 5 — Sahara Sunrise → Full Day Merzouga — 4×4, Sandboarding, Khamlia
Day 6
Merzouga → Rissani → Draa Valley → Agdz

Morning stop in Rissani, birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. Drive along the Draa Valley, Morocco's longest river, lined with palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Overnight in Agdz.

Day 6 — Merzouga → Rissani → Draa Valley → Agdz
Day 7
Agdz → Ouarzazate → Tizi-n-Tichka → Marrakech

Morning drive to Ouarzazate, Morocco's film-studio capital. Cross the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2,260m), with panoramic stops over Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech by evening. Overnight in Marrakech.
